Lake Mary is an ever-evolving collective built around the exceptional guitar work of founder Chaz Prymek. Influenced by the "guitar soli" movement of the '60s and '70s, his work also incorporates the melodies of folk and bluegrass, the improvisational framework of rāga, and the textures of contemporary ambient music. The music of Lake Mary evokes the qualities of the natural landscapes that Chaz has spent much of his life exploring; the mystique of hushed forests, the majesty of the Rocky Mountains, and the humble beauty of the Midwestern plains.

On "With The Windows Open", Lake Mary's vision is aided by Oxherding, the meditative musical alias of Fitz Hartwig. Wandering guitar ruminations are transformed by gentle synth arpeggios, placid drones, textured field recordings, and grainy processing. The result is a seamless melding of earthy Americana and celestial ambience, grounded in melody yet untethered in form.
